A seasoned national speaker and trainer on leadership topics, and especially Latinas and money, Aurelia Flores founded PowerfulLatinas.com in 2008. As a certified money coach, Aurelia has a specific focus on Latinas and wealth, at her website ExpansiveWealthCreation.com (a sister site to PowerfulLatinas.com).

Aurelia, former teenage single mother and domestic violence survivor, went to Stanford Law School and had a Fulbright Fellowship in Mexico City before beginning her legal career. She currently holds a position as Assistant General Counsel -- IP for a Fortune 500 company.

In 2010, Aurelia was selected as one of Poder Magazine’s top “20 Under 40” Hispanics in the United States. Aurelia is a past MillerCoors Líderes nominee, and in 2011 was honored with the Athena Pinnacle Award for her work. In 2013, Aurelia was nominated as a SXSW Social Revolucionario.

Aurelia, her story and PowerfulLatinas.com have been featured on TV, radio, and in print publications, including in the recently published book, “Aim High: Extraordinary Stories of Hispanic and Latina Women.”

Aurelia is an alum of the National Hispana Leadership Institute’s Executive Leadership Program.

Aurelia currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Latino Rebels Foundation, an organization working to change the way Latinos are viewed in the media.

She has been blogging for over 6 years, and also regularly writes for national publications, including Fox News Latino, Latino Leaders magazine, and Mamiverse.
