LatinTRENDS produces cutting edge lifestyle content that highlights impactful people and innovations to inform, entertain and inspire the forward thinking Hispanics in America. Juan is a recognized leader in the Hispanic market.

Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit, he postponed his studies to open the first of his business ventures which included retail, concessions service, real estate sales and management. He is also credited with pioneering numerous events and community activities including the annual iConomy Expo (www.iconomyny.com) and the Latino Trendsetter Awards & Scholarship Gala

In its 12th year, The Latino Trendsetter Awards and Scholarship Gala, awards Hispanics of distinction and influence in the fields of education, community service, business, law, entertainment, medicine, sports, and the arts.
The scholarship has awarded thousands of dollars to Hispanic college students, the future trendsetters and innovators. (www.latinotrendsetter.com).

Juan has received numerous awards and for his community work and business acumen including: a Congressional Record (2003); a Rhode Island Senate Citation (2003); an award from the Dominican Republic Consulate’s Office, in 2004, for contributing to the country’s development of sports; an award from the Northern Manhattan Coalition for Economic Development (2004); a Citation of Honor from the Queens Borough President (2005); the New York State Department of Labor Rising Star Award (2006); North Fork Bank 1st Annual Latino Achievement Award (2006;) an Excellence Award from New York State Governor Pataki (2006) ;a congressional recognition from Congressman Charles Rangel (2006;) the SBA 2008 small business minority-owned firm of the year award, and the 2009 Leadership Proclamation from Scott Stringer at the Manhattan Borough President Office. The 2011, 100 Hispanic Woman Honorable mention Award and the 2011 New York State Federation of Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Businessman of the year Award. He is on the Board of Directors of the Lehman Performing Arts Center at Lehman College. He is also an Ambassador with The US Hispanic Advocacy Association and on is on the Advisory Board of the Dominican Studies Institute at the City College of New York.
