Maricela Cueva

Vice President
Maricela Cueva is a vice president at VPE Tradigital Communications and has been with the agency for more than 10 years. Under her leadership, the agency has won several industry awards for its social marketing campaigns and has set the standard for public awareness and community outreach efforts for government agencies and nonprofit clients.

Maricela fully understands the importance of community engagement and how social media can play a key role. She has managed numerous social marketing and social media campaigns targeting Latinos including the First 5 LA, Televisa Foundation, AARP California, Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), Eye Care America, the Office of Traffic and Safety, and others.

Concerned smaller nonprofits would miss out on the advocacy, volunteer activation, and fundraising opportunities accessible through social media, Maricela organized an all-day, hands-on training workshop for multicultural community groups. More than 50 non-profits attended the free workshop and have gone on to actively engage online.

Maricela started her own nonprofit organization to identify and work on blighted areas that can benefit from graffiti removal, tree plantings, and clean-ups in the local area. As a result of the organizations efforts, her city has been named Tree City USA for several years. In 2011, Maricela received a Women of Distinction Award from her local congresswoman for her community leadership.

Maricela is currently the Los Angeles Chapter president of the Hispanic Public Relations Association.
