Ruby blogs at GUBlife: Growing Up Blackxican, a blog she founded in 2009, to talk about raising her bi-cultural kids which now covers all family life. She is a wife to a wonderful man and a mother to two little ones. She strives to educate her kids on their roots so they can be proud of their 2 cultures- Black and Mexican. Ruby was born and raised in Southern California. She has since relocated to New Jersey after her family transitioned from military to civilian life.
